I'd go with Countdown To Exstacy as the gateway, but Pretzel Logic is a close second.

i think it's some sort of jazz era mixed drink.  You can probably just google it or check Wikipedia if you're so inclined.

That's probably the least "Steely Dan-y" song in their catalogue, but it's still a good one.

Citizen Steely Dan is a great collection in spite of some lackluster packaging.

I think I'd agree that Gaucho's not the place to start, but I'll give it props for the opening 1, 2 punch of Babylon Sister and Hey Nineteen, plus the title track and my personal favourite the closer Third World Man.

maybe they use soy milk?

they're only kosher if you separate the bottom part and the top part and lick the frosting off separately before you eat the wafers.

while i do agree that people should legally be allowed to put anything in their body they want to, a lot of this shit is marketed specifically towards children who are too dumb to know any better, so I can see why it's controversial.

yeah what ever happened to that color-coded terror alert thingy?

i agree that over all Herc is lame but another moment I like with him is when he's playing the Theme From Shaft during their multi-unit operation to chase down a kid with a backpack.

It's like the forbidden fruit or some shit.

i like to think she's hangin out with all the dead puppies and kittens up in heaven with my homeboy Jesus.

nah.. Mick Jones seems like a nice guy… he'd probably be all for it.

just gonna say I completely disagree with the article on this point in that the 1997 version of Lolita is a beautiful fucking movie and a personal favourite that I rewatch every few years.

i can understand why the Scouring of the Shire was taken out and all, but still it would have been freaking sweet to ast least have it as a DVD extra or something.

yeah I love Apocalypse 91…. now Muse Sick and Our Mess Age on the other hand.

GONNA HAVE TO TAKE CONTROL… GONNA, GONNA HAVE TO TAKE CONTROL!

rappers just have a lot of civic pride.  nothing wrong with that.

yeah Twista kills it on that one.   really surprised me when I found out it was a Puff Daddy tune when I looked it up after hearing it on Barre Side A.

you might have a point about the double cd thing.  Sure, there's plenty of double LP's that justify the length, but I'm having a hard time thinking of any double CD's that are worth it outside of compilation-type albums like New Order Substance.
