This same reviewer gave a slightly higher grade to Sam Phillips, seemingly because there's a few more uptempo tunes there. Guess she really doesn't like mid-tempo and/or ballad-like songs by acclaimed female singer-songwriters.

Going all the way back to the first episode, Hank always liked to gloat whenever he scored a big bust. Looks like his own hubris may have finally caught up with him … as did Walt's.

Honeymooners minus everything that was great about Jackie Gleason

Me too!

Both were funnier than I expected. Only episode I've disliked so far was Borderline Personalities.

Not a big fan of Snyder's take on Batman, which seems to be taking aspects of Morrison's run (specifically, Batman's will broken in RIP - not to mention Starlin and Wrightson's The Cult - and Joker redefining himself like in that prose issue everyone hated at the time) and adding heaping helpings of gore. That said, I

"Original B" was a great episode. I still chuckle when I think about Dream June's crazy dancing, incessant questions and cheerful demeanor as she blows each answer on "The Roommate Game."  In fact, people are starting to wonder why I keep chuckling to myself …

I like a lot of the music I hear by the Dandys, but whenever I see a video the band members themselves seem insufferable. Better heard than seen, I guess.

Well said. It's not like Muddy Waters redefined the blues in his '60s when he collaborated with Johnny Winters, but he still cut a solid album. Give credit where credit's due …

I dunno, I think this article is being pretty hard on a low-budget children's show that was produced more than 60 years ago. (Not to mention Siegel and Shuster's original Superman comics.) The fact that the first season, with brassy Phyllis Coates as Lois, holds up pretty well is testament to the strength of the

You're not supposed to judge comedies by whether they are funny or not. It's all about "emotional stakes" and "character development." Those factors are also more important than sci-fi elements in sci-fi shows (Orphan Black) and fantasy elements in fantasy shows (Game Of Thrones, Once Upon A Time).

I'm still mad at ABC Family for cancelling The Middleman

Clapton does belong to a generation when musicians actually wanted their songs to be heard by as many as possible. Beatles, Stones, etc. didn't exactly see nobility in obscurity. While Clapton, by his own admission in his autobio, did a lot of terrible things in his life, I don't think Tears In  Heaven is one them.

Change The World deserves a lot more scorn than Tears In Heaven, in my book.

I'm with you, bro.

What's wrong with  Stephen J. Cannell?

FLAGGED!

I wish the Club would have picked Xena's musical epsiode, which mostly concerned itself with Xena and Gabrielle trying to kill each other. I remember it being pretty good at the time …

Campbell was also good in "The Company," which was directed by Robert Altman and co-starred James Franco.
