Surprised to see that of the people who have listed Grizzly Bear songs, noone seems to have picked Half Gate (and apparently it's the second least popular song from the album on spotify).

I'm pretty much right with you on this, I just loved the combination of his delivery when singing "That's a pretty big trunk on my Lincoln town car, ain't it?" and the production.

Everyone except the A.V. Club writers apparently. It's "her" btw and if you haven't already, you should definitely look her up. She has some quite nice songs (Zoal, Face Dancer and Rosa for example) on her earlier albums as well.

I had barely listened to them when I saw them live but I ended up really loving Fire's Highway, Adrenaline Nightshift and to a slightly lesser extent The Nights of Wine and Roses.

Mladic has grown on me, not sure though if I would choose it before We Drift Like Worried Fire.

Regarding Grimes, the album is fantastic overall of course but I myself have a really hard time deciding upon whether I'd pick Genesis or Oblivion as the strongest song from the album. Both are at least easily contenders for favorite song of the year.
