If that scene isn't the explanation for why he converted, then there really isn't an explanation in the show, which is even more of a problem when we're talking about his character being underused.

I think there were better ways to stop Stannis from slipping into the background though that would be brief enough for the show's format.
That they needed to raise the stakes at that point in the episode, so they used a joke that didn't totally reflect reality.
Nah, it's because it wasn't funny and had nothing meaningful to say.
"They could have done a full episode of mocking the healthcare.gov site"
When I watched this interview, I felt it went from standard Daily Show fare to pretty stunningly candid when this guy felt he needed to challenge the premise of Aasif Mandvi's statement that neither he nor the laws he was advocating were racist.
Wait wait wait; how are the people who think an adult shouldn't be allowed to stalk/follow a kid and then shoot him, then be acquitted for self defense, 'idiots'?

I'm at work with waaay too much free time on my hands, so fuck it, I'm all in. Back to the Future II has a similar issue that breaks its entire premise.
Yes and some truly wonderful individual made it into a trailer.
It's a six way tie between;
