I saw chvrches a year or two ago at a festival knowing exactly 0 of their songs though the SO did. Great show, and that's hard to pull off in the daytime, at a festival. Much respect.
I've seen them once, while a big fan, and they sucked. Shit ton of audience condensation, and about a complete opposite from Les Savy Fav who just before were fucking delightful. I'm sure they're great, but that one experience I was so looking forward to spoiled me forever.
The waitresses at the 24 hour Greek diner in Detroit Greektown were some of the most hardcore waitresses I've ever had the pleasure of ordering saganaki from at 2 AM.
Yeah. I don't go there that often but catch up every few weeks when I'm in the mood for happy geek posts about interesting things.
I think if O'Neal posted more often I wouldn't be as tempted to go there when I need a fix of random pop culture musings, dammit.
Getting closer to quitting them outright though. If AV had Last Week Tonight threads Mondays it would be a lot fucking easier to though.
We got forced to move from our rental last year after the owner's husband lost his job when we were promised 4 more years there so we have jack. Could've fought to stay but owners were giving our leasing agent hell (who knew it was so hard for someone to find indefinite leases in a hotel that takes cats while you try…
I worked doing organizing for a union, and once the girlfriend/boyfriend heads of our field office realized we were trying to call in the union that represented us they systematically eliminated everyone (including a manager who transferred in who was aghast- apparently we were the only office in the country led by…
After she EGOTed.
And a wife, and a life.
I posted that as a birthday greeting to my brother, who loved it, but who apparently has many friends without a sense of humor and/or mortality.
Are we fucking repeating GJ Internet's, or am I mistaken?
I've been *tempted* to check out the Adventure Time comics, but hours in the day.
Comic extensions are the new BBC Doctor Who radio and novel segments.
Me too. I somewhat randomly rewatched part of They Live today (fight scene, obs), and made the dumbass mistake of scrolling to the comments (90% of which were "see, Keith David was mad but then got forced to see the truth, just like 9/11!". AGH.
As someone who was really into the X Files and kind of trailed off after the movie, I would be completely fine with this and also with a Wes Anderson montage if that is required.
I… Can't get them outta there.
I got so stabby when that happened.
Katya so much! Was not a fan at first, but her wry observations + humor were so goddamn spot on. Alaska for sure too.
My dear departed bunny had exactly one trick, and it was standing on her hind legs and walking when you said "Rory Calhoun". 90% of visitors didn't get it, but it gave me oh so much joy.
Man… Hate to say it but Colbert did it better. To be fair, far more props.
