There are a few "minor" episodes of Bebop in the middle of the show's run. They aren't "bad" by any stretch of the imagination, just a lot weaker than what's come before (and comes after.)

I think I caught Bebop during its second run on Adult Swim, so I guess I can be a Bebop hipster. Anyone else remember when the "Cowboy Funk" episode was "lost" and didn't air right after Sept. 11?
It's very Western. The allusions to cowboys, jazz music, and film noir all hit the sweet spot to an American audience. Bebop also doesn't have any embarrassing 'anime' stylings that could turn off viewers (like oversized eyes, giant boobs, monster collecting, etc.)
Evangelion was one of my favorite animes when I was in college, because it seemed to really connect to how I was feeling at a certain time in my life. However, so inexplicably tied to how I felt as a miserable 20 year old I'm afraid to go back and watch it.
You warm my DC Comics-loving heart, Stan Lee.
There's a promo clip of her, as Emma Frost, being interrogated by some guys. The scene does not dismiss the criticisms she gets for being a bad actress in "Mad Men."
I walked into a Chipotle a few months ago, and I heard "Distortions" by Clinic over the sound system. It was probably the first time in 10 years I'd heard that song. It's a good song, but it's still very obscure.
YHF was one of the first albums I heard before it "came out." A friend of my freshman year roommate had a burned copy. We listened to it for hours straight. This was back when a record being "leaked" was still a big thing. There was something about the not-yet ubiquity of the internet of that time that was fascinating.
I believe it's on the commentary track for "Extended Pilot," but Mitch Hurwitz explains that the 'documentary crew' was going to actually be a larger part of the show's story. As an example, when Lindsay and Lucille are running up the ship's steps to get to the captain, the cameraman chasing them was supposed to fall…
She is also (to date myself) one of the early correspondents for The Daily Show.
From the looks of it, half of the banana appears to be unpeeled. He's just shoving it into his maw regardless.
I'll be rewatching Arrested Development, like most everyone else. I'll be watching Veronica Mars for the first time, since it seems like a series I should have watched a long time ago. Cowboy Bebop is definitely rewatchable. I'll probably be able to comment along without even seeing the episodes at all.
Syndication
I know the syndication packages for Seinfeld are usually shown out of order, but "The Mom and Pop Store" must be aired once at least every five episodes. It's so constant, I think I can memorize it. It's almost impossible for me to critically analyze any of these season 6 episodes.
So wait
This is on at 10:30 and Wilfred is going to be on at 10? Seems counter-intuitive, like you should put the established show on to lead into the weird Elijah Wood dog show. And this show will be going up against Futurama, so I guess that's why there are DVRs.
"Whoo Alright Yeah Uh-Huh" was seemingly played in every other commercial in the mid-00s. That cowbell part is drilled into my head.
In the new version,
is she the other type of mermaid, with the first part on top and the lady part on the bottom?
Robuttnik, I bought the Kill Bill movies on DVD back when they originally came out, figuring I'd trade them in for The Whole Bloody Affair to a used DVD shop. That was 6 years ago. I don't think the special editions of those movies are ever coming out.
Indeed. I get that Arcade Fire wants to celebrate winning the Grammy and everything, so that's why there' putting out the deluxe edition. However, I'm not spending twice as much for two new songs and a short film that's available elsewhere.
As a general rule, I hate misleading trailers. It's not that I hate being fooled, but it's just a cheap excuse to show how "wacky" the movie is. I'll give the Muppets a pass though, because, c'mon, they're Muppets.
I know I'm not going to be the first to suggest it, but Savage's life in the '80s and '90s weren't exactly full of clean living and being in bed by 10. There's always the chance that something from his past caught up to him.
