So

That could be that the band was pretty much a non-factor by the time the show came out. Even real hip-hop fiends don't talk much about Arrested Development (the band) anymore.

Between the men voicing the female characters and the poor character design, it's almost like they're expecting to get canceled quickly. But, then again, what was the last show that had really good character design, anyway? Futurama?
There are *a lot* of Seinfeld episodes in which a cell phone would drastically alter the plot. Off the top of my head, there's The Movie, The Chinese Restaurant, the episode from the second season where George tries to swap answering machine tapes, the episode with George pretending Jerry's is Vandelay Industries and…
So apparently you can say "wetback" on network TV
Interesting. I wouldnt have thought of that.
Don't forget the Wallflower's adequate take on "Heroes"…
At first, I was angry that Puffy starts at near the top of the building but manages to go up 90 floors in the elevator. Then he turned into a flock of doves, so I guess I should just shut up.
Does Godzilla even need an origin story?
He's a lizard who got really big and angry due to nuclear testing. How much more is necessary? I've never watched a Godzilla movie and asked myself what was going on in his head.
I haven't seen this episode in forever, so I can't remember if the DCAU *ever* explicitly states the extent of Poison Ivy's powers. She looks more like a normal human being (and acts like one too) compared to the Swamp Thing-like elemental she became in the comics.
Not as bad as "The Move," in which all the characters are having and discussing cunnilingus.
The highs were high, but the lows were pretty obvious too. The eyePhone one in particular leaves a really bad taste in my mouth, since it symbolized this trend Futurama had this season of trying too hard to be topical at the expense of being funny.
I really like GC, but I'm pretty frustrated DC's re-releasing the series in hardcover. I think there are like six or seven issues that are included in the hardcover TPBs that weren't in the softcover TPBs. I should be used to by now, but I hate having to rebuy comics just for those issues.
My favorite Lasagna Cat:
She's a Brian Michael Bendis creation, right?
So it'll be two episodes before Spider-Man and Wolverine show up for no real reason.
I like the idea of Beck's Record Club, but it slowly starting losing my attention halfway through the Leonard Cohen album. I'm surprised he's still putting those things out for free.
In the promo, Sheldon complains that there's never been a blonde Wonder Woman. Cassie Sandsmark (Wonder Girl II) is blonde, and she has worn Amazonian armor before.
"the oldest stock plot in the book, one involving evil developers…"
Damn. I was really hoping for a diamond smuggling subplot in this.
Strangely,
the ad blitz for this movie almost worked on me. Even though I've never seen the original Tron (and it seems like Disney's purposefully making it hard for people to see the original Tron), I was slightly excited about this movie. Between Jeff Bridges, the visual effects and the Daft Punk soundtrack, I was…
The Mentalist may be the most generic show on television right now. It's not bad, it's not really good, it's just there to fill up some time.
