I've been watching a lot of shows lately, and it's just to my growing disappointment that not many of them really stack up to the dramatic masterpiece that Spartacus has established. I think it's just that Spartacus truly, and deeply, made me CARE about its characters so much. The only ongoing show that's making me do

I think the trajectory of both shows' first seasons are quite similar too (besides Spartacus' pilot being rotten stinky, while OITNB's pilot was I think excellent). Both shows took their time setting up the dramatic dominoes in their first few episodes, then knocking them all down in intense fashion in the back end of
