While a talking lobster whispered "now kiss the girl…"

I love how characters are FINALLY running into each other this season. Brienne and Podrick run into Littlefinger and Sansa. Jonah's run into Tyrion who was on his way to meet Dany. Kind of reminds me of The Stand when all those threads were coming together and they were all finding each other.

That's what happens to habitual line steppers in Westeros.

If Littlefinger can talk Sansa into marrying the son of the man who murdered her entire family, he can talk anyone into anything.

Dammit, you're right.

I think that's an interesting point, and one I've personally followed (I follow mostly writers, sometimes artists like Mike Allred or Frank Quitely) but I didn't really get that from this article, which was kind of all over the place.

That's disappointing. I love Spider-Man, both concept and character. I hope there's at least SOMEone in the upcoming rumored slew of Spider-family books that hearkens back to "I can't get a date, no one is hiring, my landlord is a dick, I'm failing school, I'm broke, my self-esteem isn't the best, etc etc" that

I used to work/manage one, and I never had a problem with any women coming in. At the very least, it's just good business sense to treat everyone as equals. And good manners. I mean, assuming a woman is in there just to get "Archie" or "Buffy" or whatever is like working at a record store and seeing a latino come

Damn, what happened?

This is what I love about Marvel casting though… RDJ is 50, Ruffalo is 47, Iron Man's love interest is 42, Ant-Man Paul Rudd is 46 and even Chris Pratt is 35, not old but not as young as they might've been pressured into going. It's like they remembered that most superheroes would actually be tax-paying adults.

Whoa, I'm just now inching back into comics and I thought Slott was critically-acclaimed so I just assumed his Spider-Man was, too. Is it no good?

Someone pointed this out somewhere in this thread, but when you think about it, Carol IS kind of a right-wing, conservative character. I think they used the examples of Hal Jordan and Hawkman. Think about it, military background, pro-registration during Civil War. It'd be interesting to contrast her large internet

Yeah the falling in love with my own son thing was… icky, but (and I freely admit I never read her alcoholism issues) having personal and relatable flaws like alcoholism (which effects men AND women) to me is a plus. Again, if done well.

I never liked Monica Rambeau more than when she was written by Ellis. So I guess my solution to this would be to bring back Nextwave (impossible unless Stuart Immonen draws it I suppose) or give her a series with Ellis writing or editing it.

Schaal's not THAT old, is she?

And YOU can fuck off for defending someone whose comment is based on telling a woman to make a sandwich!

I love the AVClub, the commentariat for the most part lacks trolls, and it's home to the best RAW recap on the web IMO… but sometimes there needs to be a heavier editorial hand, especially in a lot of the For Your Considerations.

You're not fooling anyone, "Teller of the Fucking Truth." The redditors at /r/MensRights and your 4Chan buddies appreciate your effort, I'm sure.

A very depressing light.

Everything's a competition.
