Don't apologize-they should be working. This is why we're losing to everyone.

I do wonder why they didn't have an arrow go through his head or heart. It did look like a pelvic and shoulder injury. Again, that blood loss from an old man doesn't look good, I just wish they would have made it definitive. It seems they gave him a relatively quick end and make Oberon screams and Ygritte gurgle

I don't think that's the last we'll see of Bronn, just maybe Bronn and Tyrion together. I don't think people retire gracefully in Westeros.

I stand by my assertion last week that this was the biggest death heavy season, even including the Red Wedding. After all, that was Robb, Mom Stark, and maybe Robb's wife. This season had Tywin, The Hound, The Mountain (pretty much), Oberon, Ygritte, Joffrey, Shae, Jorja(sp?), Lyssa Arryn and those two Crows

Is this the most deadly season for major (or ish) characters? We've said goodbye to Ygritte, The Mountain, Oberon, Joffrey, Lisa Arryn off the top of my head. I can only think of season one with Ned, Khal and Robert Baratheon.

Holy crap that's a long time ago. I gotta take more ginseng.

Is there a non-spoilerly site out there that has detailed character lists and recaps for the show? I gotta say, I was totally lost that two of Jon's friends died and we saw that cowardly guy before. I want to be brought up to speed without some douchebag giving away some spoiler in there.

I gotta rewatch the show, I've forgotten who he was.

I feel like a weirdo because I actually kind of like Jon Snow. More interesting backstory than Robb, more likeable than Reek, more sensible than Sansa and less psychotic than Arya. I also liked Ygritte and was sorry to see her go. Didn't see that coming, and with the cavalier way this show drops characters I was

I agree, I'll always remember the completely sincere way Michael says "You painted this? I'm very proud of you" (or something similar), and how Pam tears up and hugs him.

You might be right. I'll have to space these out when I have free time and a clear head so I can really focus. I admit sometimes I get lost with these episodes, wondering "oh yeah, Reek had a sister" and "what's the bald eunuch's story again>" Watching in a row should help. Maybe later this year after this

I used to read comics, but never a big Batman guy. It just stretches plausibility that some failed standup comic can escape prison so many times, plan so well and not have one of the cops arresting him say "fuck it… he's got a gun!" shoot him, then plant something on him. Now THAT I would read.

Um, okay but this section is for people that haven't read the novels. So obviously, or so I thought, the question I had as an informal survey and not a definitive statement to be argued against so passionately was regarding who has or will rewatch the series, and debating the merits of doing so.

But this is the newbie section of the site, specifically set up for people who have NOT read the books, and only watch the show. I could tell by the fact that the word newbies is in the title of the article.

Um, I would say that being unpredictable is part of that. Which is, um, what I initially mentioned in my comment, as well as, um, only stating "one of the things" versus "the biggest thing." Um.

My friend and I were discussing the watching/rewatching of Fight Club, knowing the twist and how cool it was to pick up on clues. One thing, though, is how tragic a lot of this is. I don't know why, but I care a lot more about these characters than I do your typical superheroes, cops, spies, or what-have-you in

Yeah my buddy devoured the books-all five so far, after season one. But what the two friends I have that have read the things tell me is that the show deviates from the books somewhat, partially for narrative necessity. Apparently in the books Robb and his mother weren't as big characters, so the Red Wedding was

Well, I guess boobs and bloody brains being bashed in for the less serious minded.

Huh, I had the same notion. There's so many characters, and my memory isn't the greatest, so I do think I'd be surprised at relearning some other stuff, like "oh that guy in the background doing his finger across the neck to Robb is Roose Bolton! I just thought it was a rowdy extra!"

Just saw this (thanks Disqus!)
