Man, that was hard to watch. Don't think I'll be rewatching that On Demand. I guess it's a testament to the show's quality that it reminded me of being in fights with significant others, how awful that is.

I think there was a column here about shows moving at lightning speeds now, and unfortunately I think they found themselves after season two saying… "now what?"
Brilliant idea flash- why don't sitcoms do a thing where they each write/direct another one's episode? God that would be cool. In fact, I think that'd make a good AVClub article or question or thingy. Maybe I'll submit it.
Same. I'm a guy that recently had multiple surgeries, financial problems, etc. I was still dating and having relations when I decided… this isn't working. I need to work on making myself the best I can be before I become an important part of someone else's life particularly when at this point I might flake or…
Whoa… is this like that fan theory that Rust knows he's in a TV show on True Detective?
I'm a single guy in my early 30s, and you grow out of it. I can fully compartmentalize feelings now. I think once you get a bit older and get some notches in the bed post you're not so much driven by sexual urges. Maybe that's just me. Now it's longterm dating or relationships, or eh. I'm over quickies.
I do too!
Wow, that sucks. I'm sorry. I realize that that makes a great story, and could be a great blogpost/book/short play or whatever, but it's probably Hell to live through. Here's to a quickly approaching graduation.
In the right hands, this show sounds awesome. Right hands being someone like Larry David or the Sunny guys.
It IS interesting in just how pop culture changes as the culture changes. Will we ever have a sympathetic lead make a gay joke, or call someone queer or fag? Sex & The City seemed to exist without too much fanfare on the races of the leads, Girls was immediately held to the fire. I would think Sam would not be…
I agree with you, it's not as if Nick and Jess hooking up was the crux of the whole show. A lot of what you mentioned was problematic as well, although I disagree on the addition of Coach because I love Damon Wayans Jr. Honestly, I had no idea Nick liked Jess (and I imagine viewers didn't either) until the kissing…
In defense of USA against any pissed off fans… just how many seasons is a show supposed to get? I approve of all shows getting less seasons and more different kinds of shows going on in the future.
Been awhile since I've seen Cheers (like since it originally aired and I was either a baby or elementary school) but I know people still say "Sam and Diane" as shorthand for the love/hate willthey/wontthey relationships. And didn't they at least try for something between Sam and Rebecca? I'm just proud I can…
This is an interesting discussion, much better than the previous FOC. I look forward to commenting late, no one seeing this, and then not being able to find any replies!
Yeah, I was gonna write a comment about this as well. I know Sonia and some others make out commenters as meanie-faced boogiemen that just want to hurt the writer's feelings, but… come on.
I know America (I'm American and am assuming you are) has this big obsession with youth, but holy crap. Thinking it's too late and you're too old when you're in your early thirties? I mean, every once in a while there's an Aziz Ansari and a Donald Glover that breaks through before the big 3-0, but seriously! Almost…
You know, if you rewind the episode it basically is an exact copy of Triumph Of The Will. Good catch!
Wait… Chris Christie is cool? Now I know you're wacky and against-the-grain. Everything you do and everything you are is original and awesome. Never change.
That's enough, Mr. Grovic.
Man, you're showing all of us, all of the time about everything. Tell us what's cool, Marla.
