Good God that's grim. But you'll be a failed writer until you're a successful one. That's the great thing about writing. It costs nothing but time to do. As long as your fingers and mind work, you have a shot.

I'm reply to this since I have no idea how Disqus works… as far as alternating between narcissism and self-loathing, well, welcome to being a writer. There are days when you catch a Jim Belushi show on TV, or watch a bit of a Vin Diesel movie on cable and think "holy hell, there's nothing stopping me!" Then there…
Whoa… UGA? I'm from the ATL. Didn't go to college there, but obviously knew of it.
Thanks, buddy! Bookmarked.
But what is special? What exactly do you want to do? Short of being 5'5 and wanting to be a forward for the Knicks, or being tone deaf and wanting to be the next Jason Timberlake (is that who the kids listen to? Or is it Johnny Beaver?) you can probably do it if you work at it.
Almost 20 and you're coming to terms with maybe one day not going to be super-famous and successful? Dude, you're still at an age when you could be-depending on what you wan to be. Professional athletes are really the only people that have an active clock working against them.
Always with the interracial porn, Lana.
Am I the only one that prefers the normal, non-high concept episodes? Don't get me wrong, I like paintball wars as much as the next guy, but I'm a defender of the early episodes and season one is still my favorite. I think the setting and characters are deep enough to not need bells and whistles and CGI.
She looks like she has pretty nice cans… good work.
"A Touch Of Whimsy" starring Wendy Whimsy is my favorite classic porn.
Or bring in the most perfect woman on the planet, Chelsea Peretti, to go legit mean on him and give him an emotional (or real) coronary.
I loved the You Made It Weird with Kyle Kinane. He was surprisingly thoughtful, and has come across as effortlessly funny in everything I've seen or heard him in. He's my pick for the next "big" comic, soon to be doing theatres on the reg.
Who Charted? is the best podcast. It's official. Wie Wie and Koo Koo are too good, too funny, and too endearing. The episodes with Huebel, Daly, Hot Saucerman, Kinane and now Wittels are classics to be downloaded and listened to forever and ever for eternity. Once I stop bouncing checks, I'm donating if just for…
Or you could subscribe to less podcasts.
No one saw that. You're too old.
Two interventions!
Great, you read that comment but not the one about how the show has been on the longest hot streak ever. Read back a couple of columns ago. Big ups for the Peretti, Patton and Lennon/Hardwick and X-Mas episodes.
I couldn't remember if Breaking Bad was AMC or FX. When you watch everything on DVD or the internet channels are arbitrary. But I do think it's kind of funny to write off an entire channel based on one show airing. You mean to tell me they've replaced the entire behind the scenes team that greenlit Mad Men and…
I haven't listened to SMODcast since about episode 100 (from what I understand, he's built his career around podcasting now), but I do remember that Walt and Brian are old high school buddies of Kevin. I think it's less awkward to shoehorn a guy he's known for twenty years than a girl he's known for twenty seconds.
Far be it from me to defend Kevin Smith, but…
