Exactly. I will NEVER EVER NEVER root for a DEA agent.

Holy crap that dude is 41??? Also, classic IMDB line: "Born February 27, 1971 in Washington, DC and raised in Hawaii, Charles has lived a life most people write books about."

The cynic in me also wonders about the placement of the Scarface scene during the episode at the start of AMC's "Mob Movie Week." In which Scarface is being heavily promoted in the commercials. But yes, agree with the main point…that it was 1997, and the appearance was verrrrrry forced.

Loathing? I don't about that. It's fairly well-known that they were on the show because Gano is close friends with Nell Scovell, who created/EP'd the show. Their appearance wasn't based on "Oh, we can get the Violent Femmes", but rather was meant as a love-letter to the band.

Um, the Peter Frampton inclusion was obviously not meant to be serious.

@eric827:disqus I agree, he wouldn't have been the one. But I don't think the OP made a typo. There have been multiple refs throughout the comments to this ep wondering who made the phone call to Hank. I don't think there is a another reference to the Walt phone call herein.

Absolutely false. Vince Gilligan confirmed that Tyrus called WALT, not Hank. As in when Walt is lurking outside Gus's house and he gets a call that says, "Go home, Walter." Absolutely is not in reference to the warning call to Hank.

Man, I can't believe you guys didn't touch on …About Last Night, an awesomely underrated movie that he was co-screenwriter of (and also had a hilarious cameo as a blind date of Demi's).
Oooooh. I may have to re-consider…you could definitely be right. It's one or the other though, they aren't introducing a new site, IMO.
