Given how much they shit on commenters here, I don’t really get why they don’t make all their posts with commenting turned off. The heyday of consistently getting hundreds of comments on articles is long gone.  Turning off comments isn’t likely to affect readership much.

I would be fine with that if they could figure out a better way to synchronize lights, or stopped putting in a traffic light at every arterial feeder road.

When you look at the car lineups in the morning, its easy to see why they gave up on that idea when all their competitors said nope.  The have even embraced the concept with extremely small-footprint stores that are de-facto drive-thru only.

More traffic lights need to go to flashing four ways during off-peak hours.

Maybe those drivers were all being sensible and placing small, quick orders.  There’s nothing worse then being stuck behind a single car that just placed an order big enough to feed a small army with lots of customization.

Usually these ordinances are about emissions or mitigating crazy drive-thru pathing that interferes with other traffic or increases the risk of an accident.

The networks aren’t going to be happy holding the debates at 5 pm so these two can get to bed on time.
