You want to park your Tesla in a garage somewhere maybe it will be worth something in 100 years.

A building is not land. Increasing real estate prices are not due to buildings, but the underlying demand for the land and its location underneath.

This isn’t Cuba, I wouldn’t expect there to be a huge demand for Teslas as parts cars.  If it breaks it’ll get junked and consumers will move on.

Businesses buy assets that make them money all the time. A fundamental aspect of accounting is that the asset still depreciates in value over time, not to mention the including of incremental costs of maintenance, unplanned repairs, etc.

At the time this aired I was willing to concede that Kasius’ dad was bullshitting the team with a real yet still somewhat esoteric threat to start asserting some influence over Earth, because based on how things were shaping out it was becoming clear that the show had no real plan for integrating Infinity War into

Thanos is mentioned as a threat to Earth, and the expectation is that you connect the dots between that reference and the New York attack, which may be what happens in the show, I can’t recall. But, it is never definitively established that attack is the Thanos Infinity War attack like usually happens with other

I will give them credit in that they were never explicit that the New York attack was Thanos, but it was heavily implied.

There was a title card in the first episode of the season that said ONE YEAR LATER.

They’ve made some claims that this is all happening pre-snap, which makes absolutely zero sense when you look at how the show has synced with films and the general timeline it follows each year.

That’s what other people in the thread were claiming, a significant number of posts were dismissed and accounts banned. I think they stopped once the fallout from the article went to Twitter (Padma Lakshmi of all people called them out about it) and there was pushback from other accounts in the thread to get the

The flip side of that is that they banned a bunch of people a few weeks ago on an article about equal pay for the US Women’s soccer team when it was pointed out that the article wrongly stated that the USMNT had not made any statement on the matter.

I’ve never bothered to try.  I guess you could e-mail tech support and ask what’s up and if you can be unbanned.  At the very least they will hopefully tell you why you got banned; if the author that banned you has moved on they could possibly restore you back to the greys.

It’s pretty much impossible to tell what’s going to trigger someone; presumably if you confine yourself to only replying to other commenters you’ll stay below the radar.

Dershowitz has been shitting his pants about this for months thanks to the tireless investigative work that the Miami Herald has been doing on this case. He even wrote an open letter to the Pulitzer Committee saying the entire affair was a bunch of horseshit and the news team didn’t even deserve to be nominated, let

I think Trump and Number 2 get mentioned quite frequently, actually.

As long as you don’t directly challenge any of the editorial staff you can get away with pretty much anything. Depending on the blog punishment may be loss of your approved commenter status, mass removal of approved commenter status (as what happened on Splinter shortly before midterm elections), shadow banning (where

I am trying to understand what the truth is here. Cukor is claiming Michael was trying to tailgate into the building, while all the initial reporting is claiming Michael was waiting for his friend outside and the confrontation happened on the sidewalk. Which is it? Or is there some half-truth here where the

Did all his old posts get dismissed?  I was looking at an old Ask Salty that I was sure he had commented on and didn’t see any replies from him.

This is what I don’t get.  If it was something serious the administration is playing their cards unusually close for once and keeping a tight circle on information.  If its something mundane it would have come out by now, officially or unofficially.

That’s fine, if you want to sweat balls in the summer that’s your prerogative.
