Yeah the Winchesters have been watched over since birth. The angels protected the vessel in Dean. The demons protected the vessel in Sam. All people who survive knowing them are hunters.

Raylan finally shot someone…about damn time. I miss the first couple seasons where you actually feared Raylan would kill anybody in his way.

Yeah the speech by Sam was incredible. Dean finally got some genuine credit. I doubt even Soulless Sam would have survived Purgatory. Glad the show finally pointed that out.

You nailed it Eddie. This show has to be near perfect to warrant even a B+ rating from Phil.

Exactly. These reviews are fucking atrocious.

What the hell is up with this review? Ripping apart most of this season here but I don't get it. And what are you talking about with "Sam being Sam, it takes him about three minutes on the computer to find a family"?? He could have been searching for hours (at least an hour plus because Dean went out for food and

Mostly a filler episode and definitely a huge letdown to the current pacing of this season. Hopefully next week comes back strong.

Cage is fucking awesome. Even his bad movies are watchable solely because of him. This would have been a great Community episode.

Pretty funny stuff but I don't buy that Roger loses his entire fortune to Gina. He is extremely vindictive so it would make sense he kills Gina after she tried to kill Jerry Jets.  I expect to see the rich son Jerry Jets back for another episode down the road.

Exactly. Why the hell am I going to read a review 2 months from now for a show I watched today?

Seriously AV Club put these reviews up faster. I'm already through episode 10. Show is awesome. This isn't a once a week review show.

Disagree big time with the review here - I don't see the show as getting desperate becuase its introduced a new mythology. It adds to the dimensions of the show, it doesn't reinvent it. Clearly the 7 prior seasons all happened. If done correctly this adds a lot more to the show without taking anything away from it.

Now that's how you jump start an already strong season. Action was very good, some solid back story about Kin and as always a few very funny moments. Good to see Raylan and Boyd in the same scene, hopefully they run into each other again. Duffy is great but the best person to go up against Raylan will always be Boyd.

I hope so Janet. Maybe Abaddon is like Yellow Eyes, just doing what Lucifer commanded. Maybe Sam and Dean can't exist if John becomes a Man of Letter. Either way I want this explored more on the show.

Holy shit that was a great episode! If Henry did indeed go back it would have made John's life easier but Sam and Dean had to be hunters - they were the vessels for Michael and Lucifer and that was unavoidable. John had to become a hunter, not a Man of Letters. I really hope they explore the Man of Letters mythology

At first I thought the guy caught them lying because of their names - like he knew the movie.

Anytime you quote Braveheart effectively it's an easy A rating.

I never read EW reviews but this is great:

My knowledge of LARPing extends only to what I saw in Role Models. Even if you didn't know anything about it, funny is funny. And this episode is fucking hilarious. Dean's initial reaction to the website video is classic. You could tell he would love to do this once a month. Then the Braveheart speech was perfect -

Solid episode but not as good as the first two. They have mentioned Tonin for quite some time on this show, especially last year. Will he ever be a big character or simply mentioned in the background? Boyd is incredible, he really is on par with Raylan on so many levels, but this season lacks a big bad for Raylan to
