No time for that English bullshit. The Urge is opening for 311!

The thing about roasts is that they're supposed to be for people that the roasters actually like and respect. Comedy Central has gone in a different direction lately.
Just a bunch of footage of mundane things being spoken about in an accent that's almost as hilarious as that of Philly.
When y'all come on tour, I'm really hoping you play my favorite song, "Person Displaced By External Circumstances."
Honestly, my biggest problem with the priest is that he's a priest instead of a pastor. I grew up in rural Georgia, and while there are plenty of little run-down country churches, they ain't Catholic. And most of their pastors look a lot more like Eugene than Carver. I'd buy that character more if he were wearing an…
Drive-By Truckers - "Sink Hole"
Or we could just completely give a fuck-you to a random drummer and do "The Other Side."
People shit on them, and I'd say it's largely warranted. BUT, I agree with you about August and Everything After. For that matter, I really like Recovering the Satellites (maybe even more than August). But then everything after that is on a pretty exponential freefall.
I guess that my usual instinct to say "Fuck Shia LaBeouf" would be inappropriate? I don't care. Fuck that guy. And whip him in the legs.

There's plenty of comedy out there that's offensive for the sake of being offensive, but Jeselnik's comedy and persona uses offensiveness more like a frame around which to build solid jokes.
Hot garbage that gets disturbingly high viewership, as I understand it.
Yes, the phrase "Ransom captive Israel" is in the song. But not in the chorus. The first verse begins with "O Come, O Come Emmanuel / And ransom captive Israel." The chorus, as I quoted above, is addressing Israel, and telling it to rejoice.
Don't avoid it. If you're a Plan fan, you'll enjoy this. I was shocked by the C rating (or rather I would have been if the AV Club's music reviews weren't turning into Pitchfork). I gave it an A, because I haven't been able to listen to anything else for the past week.
Also, Sufjan, are you aware that your version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" has been driving me crazy since its release? Here is a snippet of the song's original lyrics:
Perhaps Sufjan should pluck the grammatical errors from his own eye.
"But also, Miley, did you know the tense here is also totally wrong."
