Good point! I didn't even think about that. Unless they have forged ones just as, I assume, they have forged every other kind of paper/licenses. But country-hopping would probably put the validity of those to the test more than using them in the country.

My eye caught that this show was being reviewed here, which is cool. Here's an FYI (with a huge nerd alert): Because I'm a nerd, sometimes when I feel like it I do online surveys for money, gift cards, free products, etc. And to find out about future things coming out- this esp. due to the being a nerd. Anyway, back

Oh, I usually like your comments a lot! And you write articles here too? Cool, I'll have to keep a look-out for them.

I've been reminding myself to check and see if it had been renewed, so your comment gave me hope and yay! It has, goodie.

I think when they were young they tried covertly, esp. E, by instilling them with their values at home and subtly correcting things they learned elsewhere, as we saw in season one. Problem was, their life was still built on secrets and kids can feel that, so Paige sought security somewhere else that was anathema to

They could've just told her a really convincing lie about themselves if they didn't want her to know. This is what they want. Now they have to try and build something with their daughter based on who they really are.

You need to go somewhere, seriously.

Elizabeth loves her children fiercely. Maybe I see that immediately because I'm a woman? But Elizabeth is a true believer and a zealot, and everything is viewed through that lens and she truly believes it will be better for her children to be part of her cause. Honestly, it's just a grander version of what many

I actually think it's cool that you can like the show and hate the main characters. I don't know if I'd be able to do that! But I do think the difference is, people empathizing with P&E whereas they wouldn't like a show with OBL as a main character, is that we're able to see and can thus relate to them as Americans.

The whole time Philip was trying to tel Pastor Tim it wasn't a good time to go abroad I was thinking, yeah, pretty sure those two will never be able to just pop off for a vacay somewhere of their choosing. If they travel, it will be because there's something that needs to be done somewhere. Guess Paige will start to

I love how lost she looked after Paige went up to her room and she asked Philip if he hated her, and when Philip reminded her how she used to think telling them would kill them. Her face when she said, "Things change, Philip. They changed." Heartbreaking.

I loved how Elizabeth's voice when she spoke Russian even sounded creaky and unused to the words! They never speak the language. Twice in the first season- when Elizabeth tells Philip her real name in the pilot and in the finale after she gets shot and she tells him to come home. Nothing else.

I think it's more a threat directed at Stan. Paige's parents are not going to hurt her, but if she tells Stan they'll have to get rid of him. Paige also doesn't know that, but we do.

No shit! I don't know how I expected Paige to react but damn, let me just say that she's way more mature than I would have been. Having been a 15-year-old girl, if my parents had told me something even close to that I would have been way more emotional, probably started a huge scene. Paige was totally cool in

I interpreted it the way you did and they needed an ad: "Watch 'Transparent' on Amazon Prime, along with past seasons of 'The Americans'," to pop up.

When Elizabeth started pushing it (too far for Paige at the moment) about how they try to stand for the cause of peace and standing up for those who can't fight for themselves I thought. 'Not that old lady last week.' And I know Elizabeth would say that isn't what it has to do with, but I can't scrub that from my mind.

When Paige was acting all stare-hard at the end and Philip interjected that pretty non-sequitur of a lame answer, did Stan give Paige a LOOK, does anyone think? For like two seconds he looked at her and it was like he was studying her, to me. Then he looked at P&E (who were OMG with subliminal threats) and when he

Yep, except i didn't ever really think they were going to lie. This is what Elizabeth wants, and Paige forced the issue all on her own, so when I saw that nearly imperceptible nod from Philip, I knew it was happening.

I thought I heard that! I wasn't sure and thought I was making it up in my head. That was crazy.

I'm pretty sure there telephone lines are monitored, correct? By the service? Unless that's not how that whole exchange works, I'm not clear on that.
