I think you've got a really interesting point. But Sorkin's walk-n-talk filming style and no-pauses machine-gun-barrage dialogue are very untheatrical, to my mind. They work against my being able to put everything on hold for a soliloquy. If he were doing this as a play, Sorkin wouldn't be able to follow characters…
