Talking about Three Amigos, to be clear.
It was not only a flop at the time, but an infamous one. Designed as a huge Christmastime comedy, opened in more than 1000 theaters, didn't win its opening weekend and then went downhill from there.
Gloria shrieked, "AAHHHH SPIDERS!"
I probably would have been B- thanks to some great bits sprinkled in there (Cam huffing off with the wrapping station, his long explanation of what the cork meant, Phil downgrading the card as he crumpled it). But it was a super-mess after the first act, and that snow ending was dreadful.
How about the fact that she was in a bikini and then adjusted her cleavage to flirt her way to a ladybug nightlight before the customer who had it revealed he was gay?
Seconded except for the part about the show being bland. Well, it's not the same since the Sucklord was eliminated, but I've still got a rooting interest in mulleted Dusty, the public school art teacher from Mountain Home, Arkansas!
I don't think it actually aired. Tuesday's just the day the piece was posted.
I loved that he was wrapped up in lights with no explanation … I imagined that he did it in some bizarre attempt to keep warm.
Thanks JE — I don't actually put in those episode numbers, the section editors who create the articles in the CMS do. But I'll try to remember to change them if the problem continues.
What kind of things do you make, crittab? (I'm curious because I'm a handcrafter and I teach a class about the philosophical/historical implications of handcrafting.)
But see, it was relevant. Marshall is taking on suburban dad as a role that he never knew he wanted, and he can't resist it even when it's a lie.
I'm sure they were all LEDs. I watched some kind of HGTV thing about crazy Christmas displays last year and one segment featured a guy who was replacing his million incandescent bulbs with LEDs and marveling at how much less power they drew.
Thanks. It's pretty clear that I'm watching a completely different show than some other commenters, in that we don't want the same things from HIMYM at all. To give an example from a thread above, to me there's nothing of the "fakeout" or rug-pulling about Robin's kids being imaginary; it speaks to her perverse…
Do I ever covet that suit. I had flashbacks to the awesome Burberry trench coat from (I believe) last season. Tailored styles look so great on her.
Does it have to be one or the other? Having kids is a tradeoff, as Insane Dwayne shows. Not having kids is also a tradeoff. Validation of third-wave feminism doesn't mean that childless women don't sometimes feel a sense of what might have been, just as women with children sometimes feel a sense of what they might…
Yeah, wasn't bad at all.
Thanks again, wallflower!
That already happens (with celebrity voiceovers).
