He had a great voice, too.
He's still an icon! You're talking about the mind behind TekWar! And the star of Boston Legal! The man has saved lives with his TV show! Much more than an icon!
Yeah, her hair is wimpy in comparison to Dolly's. Very flat.
Sam & Twitch is great. Torso is great. There are good Powers stories. He's capable, but he's phoned it in for a long time. Literally, maybe, like he calls up Stuart Immonen with an outline and then puts in his rigmarolish dialogue while he watches the Indians game.
I really liked the first issue of Hellcat, which is now on Marvel Unlimited. It's continuing the characterization that Kathryn Immonen sort of started with her miniseries, which I loved.
Bendis can take it. You're right up to a point but the fact is that no black woman has EVER written a comic for Marvel, not one. At some point you have to force the issue or just admit you're refusing to include certain people in the culture.
I think some of us could be tricked into doing some of them.
It comes from a time when disgustingness on kids' TV actually meant something.
I knew a girl in high school who's a distant cousin of Harvey, the announcer for Double Dare. She got a special tour of the studio and everything.
We could be seeing that face a lot more in coming years, because Laura Ingraham is telling her listeners to poop their pants in protest rather than possibly use a public toilet with a trans person. Of course no one will do this except Ted Nugent, but still, yuck.
Wayne LaPierre is so mad that no one wants a "Wayne LaPierre is My President" bumper sticker.
I really miss the only semi-terrifying Colombian cartels of the 90s. When they make movies about the Mexican 21st century cartels, they're going to be straight-up horror movies.
I hope they put some of those classic UPN shows on too, like…um…
"Thanks to our program's co-founder, Torey Malatia, who did NOT enjoy the talk of potential delegate shenanigans at the Democratic National Convention:
Also acceptable: he became Bess Armstrong's sidepiece.
I'm still, against all odds, sort of interested in this movie. I have no interest in watching Jared Leto's Joker, but the fact is, the original comics by John Ostrander, Kim Yale, and Luke McDonnell are just wonderful, and I feel like David Ayer could make a good movie out of them.
Jared Leto belongs on a 90s nostalgia cruise, at best. I'm continually mystified that he's cast as anything other than a pretty asshole. His character in Panic Room is him.
My mom's 60s-70s fashion sense in old photos was terribly embarrassing to me as a child, but looking at them now she was way fashionable. The photos of her and her sisters look like James Coburn is going to come in and start dancing any minute.
Our drunkest presidents have been some of our most scandal-prone, but they also presided over peace and prosperity. You've got to weigh all this.
