I don't get this. Denise joins the guys' alliance. Guys + Denise vote for, let's say, Dawson. Girls vote for Penner. Penner plays his idol. Dawson goes home. How would Penner playing his idol put Denise at risk if she was *with* Penner?

Sticking with your alliance partner and seeing her go home 4-2 just cements you as the next boot more solidly than voting her out. Being fifth of five sucks, but it's marginally better than being fifth out of four vs. one.

This is exactly why I got annoyed with Kent and Penner arguing about which to take out. If you have the numbers and are essentially Pagonging the other side, and it doesn't matter to your game in any practical way which one you take out, then you let the other guy in your alliance make the call.

For me, what was funny about it was this: he imparted no new information. Saying "tummy" didn't get any point across -she knew she had a pain in her tummy. That's why he was called in. It's like if he did an autopsy and, at the end of it, said, "I think this man might be dead! Tummy!"

Is that the most specific "job" ever on the show? They've had numerous "former beauty queens", etc. - I find it funny that Katie is the one who gets her state named.

I don't think I will.

I love that you felt the need to specify "buffs wrapped in brown linen", like SamR was going to come back all, "Yes, but what colour linen were the buffs wrapped in, you vague son of a bitch?"

Penner, RC, Malcolm and Denise would be my favourite F4 ever by a ridiculous margin. Is there still hope for that?

Also, re: Penner's "build" - I've heard he's ordinarily thinner, but that he does bulk up for the show. That said, he seems to have done an especially good job this time.

No surprise, after seeing how he treated Parvati that time she got hurt in Cook Islands. She and her allies had bullied him mercilessly for weeks, but then all of a sudden, boom, she's bleeding, and Penner's acting like her dad. It was the sweetest thing.
