I don't think there's a reason. It's just…not a very good episode, IMO. I can't think of a single memorable line, well-written moment, meaningful plot development, etc. I don't hate it, but given how much I love the other S1-S4 episodes…yeah, it's easily the worst of the first four seasons for me, just by default.

I agree with you completely on this one, jerodast. It's nothing to do with xenophobia—-this kid is getting Bartlet's attention because his father is powerful.
