'Come 2013 it may be a slightly different beast.' Come 2013 the show may not exist at all, with any luck. Face it, it is a terrible, unlikable show. They keep retooling it, but no one is watching. If Fox didn't have such a weak sitcom line-up, it would likely have been cancelled already.

Yeah, this was really not a good episode. As per usual. What can one say when last night's Family Guy was much funnier and even smarter than The Simpsons? A sad state of affairs…

Don't you think that 'Suddenly' would work well as a remake, in our paranoid new age? Someone like David Fincher) who made the formulaic 'Panic Room' above average) could do wonders with it. I like how lean, mean and brutal the Sinatra movie is. Might work well as a double bill with the original 'Manchurian

Have you read 'Libra' by Don Delillo? It's basically like a novel version of 'JFK' (although it was published a few years before Stone's film came out), and coincidentally I am reading it right now. It's pretty good, although I keep thinkiing the author's ambition to write a big, important book weighs down the novel

'Silence of the Lambs' really is one of the great American movies (and a great example of a novel-to-film adaptation done right), but it's also Demme's last good movie (I'm not counting the documentaries here).

Interesting factoid for TBBT fans (all five of you on this site): At the start of the episode, the guys riff on the theme song for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Chuck Lorre wrote that actual song, back when he wrote theme songs for cartoons, before transitioning into sitcoms (which are basically cartoons for adults).

What will JVDB do when this show is cancelled, as it will be soon? Maybe they can retool Dawson's Creek, like they did with 90210, and JVDB can play Dawson as a failed Hollywood director who is forced to return to his hometown, and teach English at Capeside Junior High. Therefore introducing a whole new cast of young

Tom Lennon is terrific in everything, always. Not sure why he doesn't work more (as an actor, I mean).

Exactly, it was a kind of clever twist and 'gotcha' moment for the viewer but (to my mind, anyway) a totally implausible development.
