Oh, and that 'Twilight' sketch wasn't nearly as sharp or sublime as the 'Twilight' riff between Nick and Jess's dad in Tuesday's 'New Girl,' the best moment in that episode for me. Who is that super-cute Asian girl in the Power Rangers sketch? I keep seeing her in shows, but don't know who she is.

Not a great episode. The Power Rangers sketch was brilliant - a classic. The rest was pretty spotty and half-baked. I thought the magician sketch was all over the place and not in a good way, and the prison sketch was dispiriting and predictable rather than fresh and amusing. I can't be alone in thinking that prison…

Yeah, exactly, Winston is like this show's Raj: really talented actors who are severely underutilized.

I thought this show was absurdly overwrought in its self-conscious desire to be an IMPORTANT show about BIG themes. Grammer was posing, preening and blowing smoke on screen, but it was all for nought. The writing of the show left a lot to be desired. 'Boss' had an outsized opinion of itself, but it wasn't terribly…

Oh, well, at least it will finally get the extraordinarily untalented Kenan Thompson off of SNL. He's fundamentally a sitcom actor and has always been at sea in the improv-heavy cast of SNL. (I know there have always been comic actors on SNL, alongside improv people and stand-ups, but KT just doesn't have the chops…

I haven't watched this episode yet, but the photograph on this page reminds me (not that I need reminding) how absolutely, profoundly untalented Kenan Thompson is. He does not, and has never, fit into this show. Do I have some kind of irrational, pathological dislike of Thompson? Am I the only one? Is there anyone who…

Great episode of a great show. I am so glad this insane show exists.

I agree. But isn't the show maybe building up to an episode where Leonard and Alex either kiss or sleep together (the latter option is maybe not too plausible since Leonard seems single-mindedly devoted to Penny at the moment), and then Leonard and Penny have a massive fight/break-up, which causes the group to…

That was a WEIRD episode. It felt like a late-period episode of 'Friends,' coasting on fumes and good will, enjoyably relaxed and engaging but also entirely pointless and instantly forgettable, with essentially two B plots, and even then the show struggled to fill its 20 minute running time. And yet - it wasn't a…
