On one hand, it's a waste of Alison Brie. On the other, a Farrell/Hart film likely pays well for relatively little work and will raise her profile. I don't blame her for taking the job.

But she's fine as Betty Draper on Mad Men, which plays to her strengths and is likely the reason she's got quite a few high-profile roles. The issue is that she's been pretty bad in things like First Class, American Pie and even on SNL.

The main reason I barely play any Nintendo games is because of their ludicrously high prices.

She's fine in Mad Men but I do think January Jones is a bit limited and wooden as an actress. I think she's a bit shy which comes across as being a bit cold and distant on screen.

The only real surprise is that Shameless is considered a comedy, but I guess they petitioned to change categories last year and the Academy didn't want to reverse their own decision.

The episodes will likely end up in the syndication package in September, just as if it was airing on NBC. Expect the DVD release at the usual time too.

Empire's soundtrack has topped the US album charts.

I love it so much. I'm obsessed with it. Not the full version, but the 30s theme version. It's such an ear-worm and it's so layered. The secret MVP is the bass before the key change.
