Yeah, this is pretty much how I feel. Granted I can admit that the older seasons weren't perfect, but I still appreciate them a lot more in retrospect because they just tried to be funny and they succeeded at that a lot more often then they succeed at satire.

I'd say there have maybe been 10 or 20 films that are on par with Metropolis. Just for that film alone her ignorance is inexcusable. I guess my point is most talkies are shitty, too.
