There are all kinds of reasons that led to the invasion of Iraq. Not the least of which was PNAC getting control of the WH through Bush. And the DLC, which also had a topple Saddam boner that predated 9/11, having core power in the Democratic Party played its part.

Iraq was a hideous mistake. But it wasn't done for fun.
