Fight on
Fight on
Dear old Muncie
Fight on
Hoist the gold and blue
You'll be tattered, torn and heartened
Once the Munc' is done
With YooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooou

Agreed.
I always liked how they played at the same time and were like a kind of pop rock/art rock yin yang.

"The Raft" is hands down my favorite half hour of horror *ever*

Right? That album IS a workout playlist.
(Though "I Get Wet" and "Got To Do It" are the best…)

I recently said "Fuck It" and downloaded all the biggest, cheesiest workout songs I could find. "Montage" from Team America, Eye Of The Tiger, Run To The Hills, Live To Win, You're The Best Around, the theme from Chariots of Fire…

Work-Reward
"In fact, I think working out in public is for sex perverts and the hopelessly vain…"

When I first saw the title of the song on iTunes I thought she was covering Jojo. Then .5 seconds later I realized how utterly insane that was.

Glad I'm not the only one who wasn't super-enthusiastic about The Cold Six Thousand. Still enjoyed it, but after being floored by American Tabloid, I wasn't quite as psyched. Still excited to round out the trilogy though…

pickitup pickitup
Another great comp is Trojan's "Rough & Tough: The Story of Ska 1960-1966." The cuts are a little deeper than the Ska Box, but every song on it is worth listening too.
And obviously any Desmond Dekker comp is going to be solid gold. In fact I think the 2-disc "Early Beverley Sessions: 1963-1968" is

I think if you asked Gwen from No Doubt, she'd hum an entirely different tune.

Ted Leo
is the single greatest human being who ever lived. This is not up for debate.

Y95
Has a deep-seated hatred of white people.

Holy Crap
I'm going to need to build several churches in Santa's honor for this one…

My friends and I saw him last year for a late show at Caroline's. I don't think the show let out until like 3am, and he *still* hung out so every single person in the audience could get a picture with him. Talk about a stand-up guy, no pun intended…

Some people weren't *liking* it…

I'm 31 and saw Pavement 5 times and I only *kinda* care. Just not real big on reunion shows…

NJ
I wouldn't say that there is necessarily a NJ "scene", but if there is, it's located entirely within Maxwell's.

Agreed. And RFT-motherfucking-C.

Teddy Rock Star
I've run into Ted Leo several times (this past Tuesday for instance), but the first time I met him after doing a poster for one of his shows was probably the most exhilarating moment of my life…closely followed by the second time, six months later, when he remembered me and gave me a big hug.
