Cool - I actually wasn't holding out a lot of hope that you'd actually see my comment, so thanks for wading through the deluge!

Hey, Donna, just so you know, your episode numbers have been off ever since "Noretta." You put in "Episode 6" twice and have been a week behind the actual numbers ever since.
Early in the show's run, you're pretty spot-on. It's helpful to realize that for a lot of people, Seasons 6-7 are the show, and if that's what they're most familiar with, it's not surprising they hate it.
Someone (can't remember who, but maybe it was Lawrence or Braff) pointed out that, from season 3 right up till he was written out of the show, Braff's voiceovers always started on a really high note, which wasn't at all true in season 1. There were a lot of low-key voiceover moments in these early years, which made…
"Who Let The Dogs Out?" was already a dated reference when the show aired, wasn't it?
Well… I guess I don't, really.
I'm sensing that you guys engage in a fair amount of "enforced fairness" in the "What's On Tonight?" feature, which kind of defeats the purpose. Several times I've seen you write "This show hasn't been the Top Pick yet, so I guess it's this show's turn!" That's damaging to the usefulness of this feature. I'm expecting…
Well, that was an interesting perspective.
You should now feel relaxed.
Maybe they initially intended for it to be Abed, but thought better of it?
Or maybe that kid is related to someone on the crew.

I thought that too. It would have been a bad idea for several reason, not the least of which being that the math doesn't work. Even though the boy looks quite a bit younger than flashback-Jeff and flashback-Shirley, the age different couldn't possibly be enough if Jeff is 12 in the flashback.
Wow, a Jeff+Shirley episode that doesn't suck!
It's certainly the one that goes the furthest outside of her "token Church Lady" role.
"Abed! Where have you been?!"
"Troy, really?"
Season 1 DVD commentary confirms your suspicion, @avclub-b88b3ac1b5fd940f9b4970631eb13cc2:disqus . Well-noticed.
"You are the opposite of Batman" is probably the single Community one-liner most likely to outlive the show.
Wow, I didn't even pick up on how ridiculous that was. There's so much to catch in this show that you pretty much always miss something.
Just one of the many reasons it failed to catch on.
I was able to consider 201 one of those "I guess they had an off day in the writers' room" things, because I found her okay for most of season two, even though 201 was kind of offputting (I mean, come on, we're supposed to believe she has 30 stuffed animals with names, and anthropomorphizes them all? I thought we were…
