Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter is on the short list of the worst movies ever made. It's up there with Manos. How can a movie with a title that crazy be so boring?

I finished The Player of Games by Iain M. Banks. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I wasn't familiar at all with the Culture series and I guess this was the second book, but there wasn't anything overwhelming in it.

…Some guy just started talking to you not just about the porn he's into, but the foreign cartoon porn he's in to?

Oh, man, The Thing is so good. It's one of my favorites. It's so good, even that dog is an amazing actor. There's so many awesome shots (Wilford Brimley with the little noose, saying, "I'm better now and I'd like to come in.") It's funny and it's insane. God damn.

I finished Justified season 2. Liked it better than season 1.

On the off chance that anyone reads this again and are wondering where to start (though, seriously, just read it from the beginning, it doesn't take that long for it to get good) I think the best place is one strip before the Ray's Startup #1 arc: http://achewood.com/index.p…

"Todd, are there any nights when you don't get your slant on?"

Also, proof that the early strips aren't that bad:

Also, I've started re-reading Achewood again. THANKS A LOT TODD.

It sounds like it's settled, Todd. You need to read Achewood and you need to do it as a feature somehow.

That is a pretty great moment. And so is the moment after a couple dozen strips without alt-text you finally find the where it starts.

LIKE THERE'S ASS IN YOUR PANTS

The beautiful melancholy of some of the early strips was just as complex and poignant as the stuff that would come later.

You can only put the back half in.

The early strips are unfairly maligned. That was when the strip was just kind of a surreal take on joke-a-day webcomics. Lots of Liebot stuff, Lyle being awesome, people being unnecessarily cruel to Phillipe.

It hasn't ended. He's SPOILER coming back next week.

Achewood majorly fucks with your vocabulary.

Surprisingly, a lot.
