Agreed. "Susanne" is wonderful, and I second "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams." Also, the Green album doesn't get much love, but I think "Don't Let Go" is great.
True Love Waits.
Some other picks
"I Better Be Quiet Now" - Elliott Smith
"Baby Blue Sedan" - Modest Mouse
"No Divorce" - The Mountain Goats
Great picks. I mean, one should probably just put the entirety of "Louder than Bombs" on this list.
No love for "To Ramona"? It's probably in my top 10 of my favorite Dylan songs and it almost never gets mentioned. Although I agree, "One of Us Must Know" is great.
You are slowly becoming my favorite commenter. If only because I LOVE the idea of the real Alex Trebek only speaking in Jeopardy clues at all times.
Review does not compute
Your review was beautifully written, Nathan, but it seems to clash with what the trailer is pitching. I fucking hate trailers that make probably good films look terrible because they have to appeal to the masses. Because obviously the masses want to see a movie where Ben Stiller seems to be…
Case in point: Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson comes to me in New Zealand and said to me, "Sir Ian, I want you to be Gandalf the Wizard." And I said to him, "You are aware that I am not really a wizard?"
@Dr.Robuttnik - It's ok, I forgive you for being a dick. Thanks for the compliments on the avatar. Also, I didn't even know there was a remake, so we all learned a little something after all.
Strengh through discipline, strength through community, stregnth through action!
Was anyone else made to watch the movie "The Wave" in junior high/high school, about a teacher who attempts an experiment with his class to show the power of the group mentality? They wear arm bands to signify they are in "The Wave" and…
Geeve that man heez moneeeeeeeee
Wow
those first 10 minutes really make an interesting short film all by itself, don't they?
I agree with you, NF Inc. I'm trying to think of a consistently on-point, good feminist anthem, and it's extremely difficult.
"Pinky?"
Does anyone else think about the Animaniacs episode where the Brain gets on fake Jeopardy and the final clue involves a fake version of this show that Pinky is obsessed with? "Bang, zoom, right in the kisser!"
She's great.
Whenever I think of the type of actor that this feature was meant to be for, I immediately think of her. I even liked her in Sweet Home Alabama. Yeah, I said it.
Also, Edward Scissorhands is not a horror movie.
In my fantasy world
John Waters would host the Oscars.
Morgan Freeman
His narration to the Sound design clip, Tim Robbins' anecdote from Shawshank ("You're name's Tim, right?")… made me incredibly happy.
Amen, blackt out man. I was just going to check their website…
