Also the principal cast members are Jeff Goldblum, Bob Balaban, Edward Norton, and Bryan Cranston. I'm very excited.

Yes, I know.
Sure he is, that's why he's signed on for the Sicario cinematic universe.
No! No compliments allowed! Only cynicism!
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of man?
Me too but I don't think this is the one for it. Sicario is to me the best movie of the year so far and I cannot imagine it leaving my top three by the time awards season is over but I don't think it's the one (plus it doesn't look like it's tracking well for the major categories short of being a huge box office hit).
They're based entirely on the idea that long shot = impressive? That's what the basic takeaway is and I really don't know if it really added to the immersion or meaning of either film at all. They're still good but I far prefer the more traditional sweeping landscapes packed with stuff filling the frame.
Boyhood comparison is so apt and I was making the same one even though I didn't really like Boyhood. It's a life displayed through episodes but for the last 15 years of a life rather than the first fifteen.
I hate being *that guy* but The Hateful Eight is honestly looking so much more impressive from a technical perspective rather than the boring showy stuff that has been Oscar Cinematography gold of late. Mr. Turner was robbed last year and this looks poised to continue this trend. Nothing beats a landscape in…
I love how more and more of Moffat's gags from Curse of Fatal Death are repurposed into the show proper.
It was originally just Oil like the book There Will Be Blood was based on which in many ways would have made the whole idea of there being a show that is so blatantly Dallas but again but not that Dallas again even better. To my mind anyway.
I'm going to be totally frank I totally love everything about the idea of there being another exciting nighttime soap about Oil and I'm very much looking forward to this
That's a pretty crazy huge stretch. It's got a good shot at a nod for Animated feature but I cannot possibly imagine both it and Inside Out making the cut for BP.
Paramount has no other releases this year & next year has Scorsese's Silence (originally planned for this year) which should be a big player and so they're spreading it out.
This is literally Crown Court.
"He used to watch Mary Poppins on me every weekend!"
I thought this was the best episode in absolute ages. The weakest bit was the Act Two sketch which is odd as that's been the one bit that's consistently really worked all year but the character was on point and the premise of the episode was really fun without just relying on being a parody of anything at all.
It will be on TCM 11/18.
If you really don't know, he was incredibly conservative and actively aided the HUAC investigation with regard to Communism in Hollywood.
I sure love the whole giant thing that covers the screen to let you know this clip is from the Flash. Thanks, Youtube.
