I know it might just be me but it is my earnest opinion there is no reason for any news broadcast to ever cover the weather and nothing makes me want to cut the cord more than any amount of snowfall resulting in an all-day weather newscast from all the networks

I think this is one it's better to see the short one first and the long one later. The ending is made a bit more bittersweet in the ending of the long one and it adds to the meaning that upon revisiting it things aren't as out-and-out joyous as they once seemed.

I quite like the trailer Arrow made for it's beautiful rerelease:

Did what? Kill Chewbacca? With his car?

Jerry Maguire and Moneyball both, very wisely, choose to show as little sporting as possible in a sports movie and both are bettered by it

Neat Job, Internet!

The immediate "Reggie's dead!" cut to "Hi, I'm Paul F. Tompkins!" was the best thing.

Is that really fair, at all? Scott explained in his AMA this year that one of his biggest concerns with Reggie leaving and continuing the show is the idea that people will, for no real reason, feel fit to suddenly say "it all went downhill from here" because it creates a clear divide within the show. Nope - 9.30am EST, 6.30 PST. So for the first time ever the East Coast can experience classic Simpsons-style rushing home from Church to catch the game!

Fox's new policy: Make it 2006 again through science or magic.

What is the purpose of an effect? To convey an action, generally. What difference does it make if the effect was created on the set through manual labor rather than in post-production by a small team of artists? What difference does it make if it appears unlifelike? If you can still identify what something is and what

You're not meant to believe it either. It's not real. The movie isn't trying to make you think these events happened.

It doesn't need to look real. IT's not real. Realism is not the goal of a fantasy film.

I am ridiculously tired of this notion CGI = bad. I have absolutely no idea where it came from but the idea that just because it came from a computer it loses points is ludicrous.

It's really just a two hour long action scene, it's absolutely ridiculous.
