Homeland's relentless mediocrity is wearing on me.

I wasn't talking about people living paycheck to paycheck, I was talking about the average citizen. I'm sure people at the bottom end suffer without a social safety net, but the average American is better off.

The UK doesn't have free dental care for adults, quality of education does vary wildly from school to school, and I am about to rack up a large amount of debt from university. Free healthcare is nice but again I'm afraid you're mistaking Britain for Norway or something. By many metrics we are worse off.

Britain is worse off than America in terms of GDP per capita, Human Development, Median Income and Cost of Living. Our public transport is notoriously expensive and poorly managed. The grass is always greener on the other side, but I'd say that the average American is better off than the average Brit.

Lost is better than The Sopranos and I will stand by that statement.

I like We Can Be Heroes, loved Summer Heights High and found Angry Boys disappointing but still found some enjoyment from it.
