It got cancelled but then renewed because it is literally the only drama series in production in New Zealand. The ratings are truly atrocious, I think the last one was under 100k, but it's being sold world wide so who knows…

When I was in Turkey, I watched a lot of the channels that only showed subtitled American (and Jools Holland) shows in English. Apparently smoking on tv is censored there so every depiction of smoking (like Patty and Selma for instance) was replaced by green a green flower.

I actually kind of prefer the radio show, it's more abstract and it's often more surreal.
