The Almighty Johnsons is kind of on a roll at the moment, it's actually an enjoyable show. It's also apparently tanking in New Zealand, but I wonder if the international sales it's getting are enough to save it.

But at least he was kind of fun (apart from that one misjudged bit that you know what I mean). That's the main difference between the show and the comics for me, the comics are enjoyable trash (at least for the first 50 or so issues) whereas the show is just boring trash.
I know him as the guy who's name occasionally comes after Jason Isaacs and before Fairport Convention.
No one has said it yet?
Eh, I'd much rather have 300 Snyder than Watchmen Snyder.
That's pretty much the main theme of the Simpsons as well; "everyone is incompetent and/or greedy"
That would not be, where did you get that idea from?
There's a lot of nudity but a distinct lack in a Johnson of any sort.
It's true, we're so lame
Am I the only person on the AV Club that watches The Almighty Johnsons?

A friend of mine went into this film knowing nothing about it, so was actually shocked when the film took a sci fi turn.
You include Only God Forgives as an example of greatness?
So what you're telling me is that my Fred/George slashfic could be my ticket to Hollywood?
The problem with Ricky Gervais is that his celebrity persona has always been that of an asshole. The joke was funny when he was a nobody on Channel 4 and local radio stations but less so now that he's a Hollywood millionaire.
Al-Jazeera is pretty good aside from the occasional piece of Qatar propaganda.
I thought those books were written on some FOXCONN style assembly line.
I really liked the first Top Boy but it was very self contained and since it's been two years I've pretty much forgotten everything that happened. Really weird choice on Channel 4's part to make us wait two fucking years for four fucking episodes.
Yeah, Seth MacFarlane would never self indulgently reference 80s popular culture
I mean the backstory between him washing up on the island and DHARMA, it's a veritable goldmine
