Elfen Lied is literally the worst piece of anime/television I have ever seen. 90% incredibly dull melodrama punctuated by poorly animated ultraviolence and really creepy fanservice.

Counterpoint: ME1 nailed the setting, had better music, structure, plot, writing, flow, and actual RPG elements. It also had a much larger scale, with a real sense of exploration. I love ME2 (and even 3) but ME1 is easily the best in the series
