what ngork said, and to expand, my thinking is this: we know that vamps go cray cray for fairy blood so it must be different in some way than human blood, so because of that and what ngork said, I am guessing that Salome was not full human when she was turned.

I have never understood why people hated her. She was difficult and angry but not everyone needs to be nice, plus her best friend falls for a vamp (then 2) and just disappears for almost a year, and she was repeatedly raped for like a week and her friend made excuses for her then-man's inaction. Moreover, for a black

Ok I didn't know that, so I amend it to Salome must have been part fae. At least that is the only logical thing so far that could explain her.

sorry about that :)

sorry about that :)

Vampire Tara is awesome, but then again I am the rare viewer who has always loved Tara. Am I the only one who is convinced that Salome was fae before she was turned? I mean we all know it's her blood they are drinking, right; so why does her blood get them all loopy? I'm thinking she was fae. I thought it would of

exactly, and for the record I am a black queer boi so I think emasculating language when used is something I am keen to notice, and I have noticed it in Phil's other reviews; he is certainly gay friendly but seemingly only when properly gendered or "butch."  Just evidence of how you can be progressive and still

Ok, I wish I understood your beef with Stiles; stiles is a character that is infinitely more interesting than Scott (then again almost every character is) and I would say his true character flaw is the cliche pinning he has for lydia; I think they would improve his character if they chucked the homoeroticism and just

Yeah, I would think, this being the AVClub and all, that someone would of tapped him on the shoulder and pointed out, hey, that is "Kendra the vampire slayer" and hell she was in "save the last dance," girl has been around; don't hate because she listened to her mom and used cocoa butter and oil of olay.

Is that it has "dissipated" or is it that the music industry and MTV have been quick to shell out Madonna as the mother of pop, thereby eschewing Ms. Houston's influence, and could it also be that, as I said before, having a legacy that is not built on visual spectacle but rather vocal talent, she has been overlooked.

Agreed. I mean in r&b music you can draw a line that goes: Aretha —> Whitney—J Hud; or Aretha—>Whitney—> Mariah—> Xtina (pop-r&b); or Diana Ross—> Whitney (White audience appeal)—> Mariah—> Beyonce; bottom line you really can't vocally get away from her.

I don't know how i feel about your critique. Honestly, on one hand i agree with the idea that much of what glee does is coast on people's prior attachment to songs, but on the  other hand, there have been plenty of moments when glee forces you to invest in people's emotions through songs many don't listen to. That

I agree with so much that you say, and I would like to add that if we were to look at Glee from a racial standpoint it is an utter disaster. The characters of color are routinely ignored, brought out for stereotypical story lines, exist to service their white cast-members' story lines, and their families when shown
