why can't I seem to quit this show?

It's true that it would be negative for Elena to become isolated in a relationship with Damon (even if not abusive, it is never healthy to rely only on a romantic partner). I guess my issue is I don't understand what changes everyone is so upset about. So she wants to dance and let loose a bit? How is that an uncommon

Your point about indebtedness leads me to wonder: if the sire bond (assuming it really exists) indicates that Elena, on some level, wanted to become a vampire? Or to at least have the freedom to explore aspects of her personality that being a vampire has brought out? If the sire bond leads to some revelation of that

I agree. While I get annoyed with the double standard - Stefan's transgressions are quickly forgiven and forgotten, while Damon is always treated as the bad one - Caroline's position is 100% understandable, given her history with both men. I think it was a bit much when she was all "you and Elena are epic" to Stefan,

I agree with this review 100%. I really hope that Caroline's conjecture proves to be false. Otherwise I am very disappointed in the writers. If Elena was under the spell of some sire bond, why would she have clung so desperately to Stefan early on? It makes far more sense that in the face of something scary she would

Since I thought this would be a Henry-centric episode, I had very low expectations going in. I think it made the episode more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been. It still wasn't great, but not painful like the last couple of weeks.

I'm glad they are finally doing things with her. I love Sarah Bolger and know she can bring a lot to a character. Until she took on the role, I never thought I would care so much about Mary I of England (aka Bloody Mary), but she became my favourite character on The Tudors.

Asterix?

Asterix?

Yeah, the points they earned for casting a black man as Lancelot were lost when he didn't even survive the episode. sigh.

it also never ceases in killing off its minority characters. I'm amazed Mulan is still around.
