I enjoyed it a lot! Although that might be because I went into it literally saying, "Well, it's May. Guess it's time for us to do this again, RDJ." So it was not difficult for it to surpass my expectations.

Aaron the Moor gets bonus points for making an "I banged your mom" joke, though!

Yeah, when I was searching the You Tubes for it last night my first search attempt was "California Christmas Time" which was very close! (Who makes 'Christmastime' all one word?)

Yeah, that was what I thought too. Which is why I was sort of horrified by the comment suggesting that a psychiatrist wouldn't provide talk therapy because it wasn't cost-effective.

Honestly, my boyfriend knew literally nothing about this show before watching it (I had done a little research beforehand) and when Trish was in Jessica's office during this episode he asked me if they were going to reveal that Jessica was bisexual and that she and Trish used to date. So I don't think it's crazy out

This. Forever.

That seems… really effed up.

I'm pretty sure the house with the freezer was using solar panels. Isn't that part of what inspired Phil to try to make solar panels work after their generator went kaput?

Yeah, but the whole thing? They have access to that freezer where all the bacon was. I am just upset that they don't seem to have saved any meat for later. I suspect they will regret that. (Or probably not, since obviously this show is not hugely grounded in realism. But still!)

A quick google suggested she might be dating Bobby Flay? Though the evidence seemed pretty shaky. She is a woman of mystery!

I definitely cried for a while when the episode ended. I wasn't sad, exactly, just emotional. It's been seven years since the last of my grandparents died and I really do just miss them a lot from time to time.

This is the only thing I've seen him in besides Ringer (which I watched, lol), but he definitely makes a better impression in this!

Plus, she said in her run-down of the family that he's a contractor. So he's not just a friendly door-fixer, it's related to his job! I thought that was a nice touch, too.

I agree that Erica has arguably had the least distinctive personality on the show. Though at least the show did remember that one of her defining characteristics was "very close with Gail" for this episode. (Although Gail's fending off of Phil 2's apologies was really more character stuff for Gail, not Erica.)

cool thanks

To be fair, she has seemed to be consistently buzzed if not drunk lately. So her driving is probably not the best idea, even if there's no one else around for her to potentially injure with her drunk driving.

The title of the next episode is "No Bull" so…

And according to Wikipedia, episode 2x3 establishes that it is now 2023. (I guess it was on Gordon's tombstone?)

The text at the beginning of the pilot ep says "2020. One year after the virus."

Haha I think I actually yelled at my screen to try to keep him from shooting the surfboard fin while it was next to Phil 2. I was sincerely proud of Phil for having the moment of realization that that was a terrible idea and moving the surfboard away from Phil 2 before firing at it.
