Hard to trust this guy with Americana ever since he gave the new Gillian Welch a C+.

When I first read your comment, I thought you were talking about that Martin Luther biopic with Joseph Fiennes.

Honestly, I think this whole Inventory is pretty misguided…there are way too many songs that name-drop other artists, and even if this managed to include all of them, who really cares?

Also, is it weird I take pride in the fact that this is being so well-received since it's being filmed in Charlotte, where I live?

I didn't watch it online because it had a disclaimer at the beginning saying it would be edited… was it language/violence or just nudity that was cut out?

Doesn't he also send her cards every year?

9th grade English teacher ruling:

Shotgun Stories and Lucero are awesome. I get chills every time I think about how bad-ass Michael Shannon is when he crashes his father's funeral and spits on his grave.

Bitch, don't come at PLEPTO with your glare crap. You can shove it.

I laughed so hard when Ron chugged the mash liquor that my stomach is still hurting. Just ridiculously funny.

nuclearhobbit, very interesting if true…

Better than the Mooninites incident, worse than the "All Jews should be sterilized" incident.

The problem with "Art of Almost" is it's really the only "adventurous" tune on the album, which makes it seem somewhat inconsistent. It basically sticks out like a sore (but awesome) thumb.

"When You Wish Upon Feeling Old" by Jiminy Cricket

Yeah, those albums by St. Vincent, Girls, and The War On Drugs are pretty awful…

I want as badly as any Wilco fan for them to release another classic, but I've listened to The Whole Love about 10 times now, and I think this review is spot-on. I don't really see how an album of (pretty catchy) pop songs could be considered a "grower." It's not like there's a lot to work through.

I can see what you're saying, but people who are into that kind of music generally go to websites devoted entirely to that kind of music. Do you really want AV Club to turn into Bass music central? Most of the people here don't really seem to be into it at all, unless it's something that puts a new spin on it—like

Awesome that it's on Streaming, but seeing as how I've already seen all of the episodes, unless it's the new season that's streaming, nothing really changes for me.

Would have been my answer if I had cable…

My head movies.
