I'm kind of glad this is getting made, because the last third of the book is where the story starts to get REALLY insane.

Just rewatched this movie recently for the first time since probably 96.  It really is a great movie.  Esposito in particular is completely menacing in it.

I didn't dislike it.  It was engrossing, thoughtful, and original.  The characters were well drawn, which is a feat considering who the characters were.  But knowing the premise and that Chris Morris was involved, I expected it to have a lot more laughs than it did.
