Root's character in that scene was a bagman for Daugherty. He also hints that he knows something about the connections between Daugherty and Jess Smith, but that he's not going to tell Nucky just now.

I just mean I don't hear him mentioned a lot at all. If the person you are talking to isn't a big tv/movie nerd, you have to say "you know, the guy in Office Space who is always complaining about his stapler".

Maybe. I would think that Chalky respects him for sticking to his convictions, but it wasn't easy to tell from that scene.

Jimmy in season 1 or 2 says something to Angela about moving into one of the new places on Marvin Gardens, if I remember correctly.

Jimmy James was the first time I remember him, and as great as he was in that role, he is first and foremost Bill Dauterive to me.

A very underrated actor. Most people probably only remember him as the "Swingline stapler" guy.

My first thought was that Maybelle's suitor would end up getting caught up in Chalky's world as a way to win her heart, although that last scene with them pointed in a slightly different direction. But on the other hand, he's got a facial scar of his own now.

She looks great and she doesn't look like a plastic surgery disaster either. I'm sure she's had some work done but it doesn't show.
