Pete definitely looked like he put on some weight and it looked like his hairline was receding slightly. I wouldn't call that "balding" as Jane did, but he is definitely showing signs of age, much more so than Don, who is supposedly the one who is supposed to be showing his age in this episode.

My point was that while Dick Whitman, the character we've been following for the entire series may be 40, the identity he assumed, that of Don Draper, was at least 10 years older than him. If he assumed his identity, why are they now only a few months apart in age?

One thing I didn't get is how Don Draper is turning 40 while Dick Whitman turned 40 earlier. Wasn't Don much older than Dick? I could have sworn in past episodes they talked about how Don/Dick looked so young for his age.
