Billy Bathgate is a hard book to get through.  Ultimately I am glad that I did, but if you had stopped me at any point in reading it, I would have said "This book sucks," so I am not sure why I continued, but I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts on it if you do slodge through.

Last Train to Memphis should be required reading for anyone that writs biographies.  I wholeheartedly second this recommendation.

I do the same.  I can get views on Moonrise Kingdom from any of these cats, but you always have interesting choices that helps me expand my movie collection.
