Innocent until proven guilty.  The prosecution could not prove beyond reasonable doubt that Zimmerman started the altercation, which is what it would have taken for him to be guilty of 2nd degree murder or manslaughter, so he was found innocent.  I really don't understand why this is so hard for people to grasp.
