Which episode was that?  I know I've seen it, but late-period Simpsons kind of run together

Sir, I think you've gone mad with power.

We can drive her around the South and charge two bits a gander!

Go watch "Last Exit to Springfield" if you want to understand "Lisa needs braces"

But doesn't the Bible also say, "Thou shalt not take moochers into thy… hut?"

Bart, with $10,000, we'd be millionaires! We could buy all kinds of useful things like…love!

First you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women

They called me Kid Gorgeous. Later on, it was Kid Presentable. Then Kid Gruesome. And finally, Kid Moe.

Of course

Gil is the worst, and Marge-gets-a-job episodes are almost always terrible.

I actually liked how My Sister, My Sitter built up to that ridiculous scene where everyone thinks Lisa is on drugs and killed Bart and is trying to drown Maggie.  I also really liked the scene where Homer gets stuck in the fountain and yells something like "Don't laugh at me, I used to be like you!"

The Principal and the Pauper, followed by Another Simpsons Clip Show

My first R was Alien and I was 13 too.  I was so scared of the chestbursting scene I didn't even watch it.  Of course, the second R I saw was Aliens, just a few weeks later I think, and I watched every second of it.

Also, too many of the songs are only half good, like Wet Sand, is boring at the beginning, but the ending half is one of my favorite parts of the album.

I too was shocked by how many people have been saying they don't like them.  Also, Stadium Arcadium was alright, but it could have been half the length.  The first disc was really weak, but the second disc was great.

That's how I feel about new Simpsons and most of the new Futurama episodes that try to be emotional.

Oh, and:

It was definitely better than Futurama.  As far as weirdness or wackiness goes, it fits way better in Ugly Americans than in Futurama.  Also AV Club needs to start doing Ugly American reviews.
