I'm actually of fan of some of Wayne's stuff - his mix tape period between Carter II and III is insanely good - but his top 40 contributions are complete crap. Same with Drake and Minaj - they're ok, but the singles are crowd tailored unimpressive low balls.

I kind of had problem with that. Does every hip hop artist have to be a drug dealer/gangster to be taken seriously? Mix-a-lot was pretty popular and respected among hip hop heads before his novelty hit. If she had compared Luther Campbell and Jay Z, it might be more obvious to see the contrast in artistic quality.

But then they'd reach a fraction of the audience that "Same Love" reached. As many people have pointed out, this isn't the first pro-gay equality song to have been written. It's not even the first pro-gay equality hip hop song. But lyrical subject matter aside, it has the same lack of depth you find in top 40 songs by

The man likes good butter - give him a goddamn break!!

Bet with wife apropos of nothing in this episode: Where is Nymeria?

I hated surfer brah Daario, but the new one is just too plain. They dropped the ball not giving him the physical ostentatiousness he has in the books. At least the first guy had a bit of the "you've got to be kidding me" vibe.

It must have been a pretty insulting script for the school to refuse shooting for a season where "most of the scenes don't even take place on campus." It seems like the extra money, exposure, and relative inconvenience would be pretty hard for a state school to pass up. Girls sometimes shoots in my neighborhood, and

No joke. I'm still pretty ambivalent about Green Day. I'm not a fan and never was, though in my 30's I can look back and say they're not so bad. My comment was directed at the obviously rhetorical question of whether or not the article was an April Fool's joke. So I answered a rhetorical question. I'm not really that

Maybe. Back in the day, I loved Nirvana and hated Green Day. But looking back, their themes aren't that dissimilar - alienation, despair, frustration, boredom, the sense of being a fuck up. Green Day just committed the mid 90's sin of being fun and clownish. Having a fake British accent didn't help either. Musically,

The scenes with Maggie and Andrea, Glenn and Hershel, and more than a few of Glen and Maggie's scenes together in season 2 were pretty good. I don't hate season 2 as much as everyone else. There was an obvious lag in the middle, but the first few episodes and then from "Nebraska" to the end were pretty solid. Way

This isn't a gimmick account - my comments aren't meant to be something Super Hans would say while on crack, though I guess it can be hard to tell sometimes. That said, I've read for a while now that there's going to be another Peep Show series, but so far nothing. What's Spirited? Is Matt King in it?

He had a really avid following that seemed to lean towards the tin foil helmet crowd. The fact that he was intentionally shut out by the U.S. media and Republican party only added fuel to the fire. I hid a lot of Facebook friends during his campaign.

Plus, think of the comments! Now I can watch a clip of my favorite tv show and get to read racist shit about Obama written in the worst grammar imaginable - in all caps mind you. It's win win!

Tell me about it!

Yeah, it sucked that "grunge" and "alternative" audiences at 90's festivals were overwhelmingly super wasted frat dudes. Everyone I knew that was into grunge era bands pre-"Nevermind" avoided those things like the plague. I heard Lilith Fair was nice, though. As my wife put it, "Nary a man in sight."

I do! Anyone want to talk about Vijay Iyer's latest ECM release? Anyone? Hello….?

I'm pretty sure I've heard that song already.

Just mentioning DC Talk brings back memories of growing up in a conservative Christian town. My parents were relatively permissive, but I had plenty of friends that were only allowed to listen to certain groups and watch certain TV shows - Highway to Heaven, Seventh Heaven, the aforementioned Dr Quinn. I also had

Yeah, I still don't really know what "hex power" is. Apparently now she can redesign whole universes around people's desires, so I'm guessing her power will be somewhere between that and making villains stumble.

Thank you very much for that.
