S5 was the best since S1. S2 and S3 were the low point. Though the highs of this show aren't as high and the lows not as low as one might expect.

Good. Now they can make Mary and whatever Matthew Goode's character was called endgame. And it means that the Bates murder storyline will come to a conclusion at last. (One can hope.)
ALL. THE. FEELS.
I really liked this episode, especially compared to the last couple of eps that were downright dull. Just last week I was thinking how I was missing the Finch flashbacks and lo and behold! Maybe they weren't as strong as they could've been but if we have to have standalone episodes, I prefer episodes like this with…
English is terrible when it comes to gauging pronunciation based on spelling (case in point: "head" / "heat") so as a foreign speaker, "Heald" really could have gone either way for me. I figured that it rhymed with field because of the l (as in "heal"). But it's not like these things follow coherent rules.
You mean Scheißhund? No, most certainly not. Though I now wish he did.
The scary thing is how truly aggressive people are getting over this, like they can only have peace of mind if they are convinced that there is but one truth and they themselves have the prerogative of interpretation, not accounting for the fact that perception is a tricky thing and the brain a fickle bitch.
In 1194, Count Henry of Champagne visited the senex de montanis, the Master of the Assassins, to negotiate. They were casually wandering around the castle grounds when the Old Man of the Mountain claimed that his disciples were much more loyal to him than the Christians to their leaders. He then gave a signal to two…
Zzzzzzz… I've already had to rewind three times and I'm only 17 minutes in. Bear is the clear highlight so far. Slecht hond! Schlechter Hund? Dutch, German, it all sounds the same on this fine show. Bear might be lost in translation. No wonder about his miscreant behaviour.
Chris Pratt would be perfect for Indiana Jones.
I was referring to the wording above that "there’s a slight chance it hints at the return of Danny Pink (Samuel Anderson) or Osgood (Ingrid Oliver), two popular characters who were also killed off in the season finale". This newswire seems fairly matter-of-factly otherwise so I wasn't sure whether I just missed the…
I don't mind Clara but Osgood barely even registers as a character. And Danny became very annoying very fast.
Danny Pink and Osgood are popular characters? I'm officially out of touch.
I liked the sentiments behind the episode but the expository dialogue was through the roof to be point of being unintentionally hilarious. It never quite registered with me like it did this time.
I noticed that as well and I'm sure it was intentional because it's the first thing we hear when it cuts to Peggy and Jarvis (plus we never see the jackhammer so it's easier to associate with Dottie). Thought it was pretty clever.
I agree. But that doesn't mean she's safe. (And they're cute regardless.)
This episode should be marked in the calendar as the first to show John genuinely laughing. The most I can remember him showing before were some painful looking smiles and smirks. It was so novel, it was almost scary.
I fear for the psychiatrist. She and Reese are too cute for this show (the awkward aborted hug was precious!). I can forgive the main characters dying and everyone being miserable but I'm not sure if I'll be able to forgive if something happens to her. But since PoI likes to tear my heart out, I should probably…
Sweet dreams are made of this~
Well not quite on the same page but they could have worked with the viewers' expectations a little more analogous to the characters' expectations. Now, by the same token, it'll be frustrating to see characters give up on Shaw when we know that she's alive. I usually rather like the Hitchcock logic of tension deriving…
